Blagger's Blog: Snapchat linked to mental health issues, Facebook censors journalist, Microsoft AR
As we blogged about on Wednesday, news has filtered through to Smoking Gun towers that legendary music, fashion, and culture bible The Face is set to re-appear after publishing its final issue back in 2004. Details are vague, we don’t know what format the magazine will return in, or when, but it’s happening thanks to newly formed indie publishing house Wasted Talent, which is also behind Mixmag and Kerrang.
Facebook has come under fire this week for censoring Pulitzer-winning Maltese journalist Matthew Caruana Galizia. The reporter, who worked on exposing the Panama Papers scandal, published four posts on allegations of wrongdoing by Malta’s prime ministry, Joseph Muscat, and energy minister, Konrad Mizzi, including images taken from documents involved in the Panama Papers leak. The situation has raised even more concerns over the social network’s ability to influence and control the news.
