The famous flubbed first words uttered by Neil Armstrong as he became the first human to set foot on the moon, 50 years ago tomorrow. He was supposed to say ‘That’s one small step for a man’, which technically changes the meaning quite a lot, but everyone knew what he meant.
The Netherlands is never short of innovation, but this one is the bee’s knees (ahem). The city of Utrecht has turned the top of its bus shelters into ‘bee stops’, planting green gardens on the roofs to help sustain numbers of the struggling species. In other news, Papa John’s has unveiled the world’s first pizza for bees— The Beezza— in the hope Britons will start feeding the country’s own dwindling population.
