This week the Australian press united in protest against new laws targeting whistleblowers and increasing powers of censorship by collectively redacting their front pages. The result sent a powerful message to readers about the importance of press freedom.
The UK Government has decided to pull its ‘Get Ready For Brexit’ advertising campaign having already removed the date from content a week ago. According to The National Audit Office “at this late stage and with ongoing uncertainty about the prospect of no deal on 31 October, this may have limited impact.” The activity is thought to have cost £100million to date.
