It can seem like a really good idea to use a popular phrase in the marketing campaign for a product. But you have to be really careful when it comes to understanding what it really means, or connotes. Brazil’s Personal VIP toilet paper clearly wasn’t when it borrowed the hashtag #BlackIsBeautiful, sparking outrage for appropriating the black cultural movement for commercial ends.
