Quote of the week

“Nobody feels good about the election, but everybody feels good about this game.”

An unnamed American who featured on Channel 4 News last night, commenting on how his country is in a mess over the Trump-Clinton presidential race, but united in their joy for the World Series final, wherein the dubiously named Cleveland Indians and their questionable mascot (pictured) lost to the far more innocently branded Chicago Cubs. Big up the Windy City then, and the team’s first title since 1908.

Weekly low

Already something of a laughing stock to the outside world thanks to our plan to not have a pan for Brexit., this week a court ruling decided the referendum itself is not enough to trigger a departure- MPs now must vote on the matter. Still no decisions, then, nor any firm course of action, if this doesn’t scream ‘Country in a mess’ and put firms off investing in UK Plc then we don’t know what does. National #PRfail.
