November 2014 in the Smoking Gun Study
It has been rather cold outside in Manchester over the last couple of weeks, with winter well and truly underway. You wouldn’t know it inside the office, though, with enough fevered efforts being made on behalf of the brands we love to ensure the team has worked up quite a sweat.
First and foremost, then, it’s our great pleasure to announce the latest contract we have dotted the is and crossed the ts on. GLO, the guarantor loan option offered by Provident Financial Services, is the latest brand to join the Smoking Gun fold. We’ll be acting as overall partner on all things public relations, so watch this space for the ongoing promotional push.
Elsewhere, as regular blog readers will know, we managed to pick up no less than four awards at the recent CIPR PRide North West event at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. Walking away with gold gongs for Best Event and Best Use of Photography for our Tunnel To Barbados campaign on behalf of Virgin Holidays, we also claimed Silver in the Consumer Relations and Digital trophies for our work enhancing Silentnight’s position as the UK sleep expert. For full details of exactly how we managed to pull these off, take a look at the case studies for each – Tunnel To Barbados; Silentnight Sleep Clinic.
After taking on a number of new staff members we’re also getting ready to recruit again in order to meet the demands of our ever-increasing workload. With current vacancies for three account managers, one account executive, and a social media manager, we’re looking for the best of the best, meaning the rest need not apply, but if you think you have what it takes, or know someone that definitely does, click here to see the company jobs page and get the full lowdown on our expectations and the specifics for each role.
Busy times, then, and that’s before we have even started to think about Christmas shopping, clearly it’s good news all round as we prepare to finish off another 12 months, and set our sights on what lies ahead for 2015. In the meantime, we’ll see you at the Christmas Market in Manchester- we’ll be the ones toasting what has been a triumphant year to say the least.
