October 2016 in the Smoking Gun study
From our own CIPRs, to the Oscars in early 2017, the Christmas build up and of course the ever growing Halloween, there’s so much to get distracted about, unless you work at Manchester’s most dedicated ingenious PR firm. Always keeping our eyes on the ball for clients, the last four weeks have been no exception to that unwritten company rule.
Take the Holts campaign we have been working. Enlisting the help of Matt Dawson, we have put some publicity might behind a push for the company’s Tyreweld product, encouraging Brits to be prepared for all situations and to keep loved ones safe when motoring this winter.
Meanwhile, Silentnight’s My Sleep Secret continues to see people happily sharing their top tips for a good bit of kip via social channels and microsite, and the 40 winks expert has also just launched a new line in ultra-modern designed beds and mattresses in a box, Studio By Silentnight.
We’re also delighted to announce a new win in the form of Essential Cuisine, which explains why we’ve been cooking up such great pre-Christmas coverage through an integrated PR and digital communications campaign. The treats don’t end there, either, with the world’s first 3D jelly sweet printer, created by Magic Candy, also currently taking advantage of our premier league services.
Needless to say, then, it should come as no surprise to learn that Smoking Gun PR has just been named Agency of the Year and scooped Best PR Campaign at the Manchester Publicity Association awards, two accolades we are only too grateful to accept. And to think 2016‘s gong session-proper is only really getting going. Still, eyes on the prize, as it were, and in our case the prize is hard toil and dedication to the brands we serve.

We’ve continued to invest in our team’s permanent improvement with colleagues attending PRCA courses on Media Relations and Leading Teams, our competitive streaks have been fuelled by a Great British Bake Off office sweepstake and we all had chance to turn our creativity to fun use with our Halloween inspired pumpkin decorating.
Who could ask for any more?
