Following The Co-Operative’s decision that lads mags such as Nuts, Zoo, and FHM should come in ‘modesty bags’, hiding topless models on the cover, Augmented Reality advertising specialist Blippar recommended that anyone offended by girls sans clothes should use their smartphone app to simply ‘dress’ the lady so she appears more like a lady. A great way to show off a product by using one of today’s major talking points.

Weekly low

Last Friday police in Toronto shot and killed a teenager riding on a street car. In the aftermath- with many questions still unanswered- the city’s law enforcing department issued a statement designed to convince the public everything possible was being done to figure out how the tragedy came to fruition, however someone, somewhere, managed to spell the deceased 18-year-old’s name wrong- citing a Sammy Yatin, not Sammy Yatim. A small, but nonetheless fatal error.

 

Things that might happen in the next week…

Most football leagues in the UK kick off 2013-2014’s season this Saturday. England and Australia will continue to battle it out in the 2013 Ashes. The Daily Mail will launch a huge campaign aimed at winning over as many as 27million online readers its biggest rival, The Sun, disappears behind an Internet paywall.

Google’s new tablet, the Nexus 7, has been unveiled, with 4G connectivity and the highest resolution screen in the world. According to Curry’s and PC World, the device will go on sale in the UK on 13th September. Read the full story here.
